Speech Camp
Our speech camp is operated by a certified speech-language pathologist who partnered with an amazing occupational and physical therapist to encourage a positive social enriched environment to improve self-confidence and the use of appropriate speech-language strategies in different situations. Our small-group ratio program is full of fun and engaging activities that provide an opportunity for improving articulation, fluency, social communication, language, and vocabulary development.

Unique Speech Retreat
Unique Speech Retreat is a program that was developed to accommodate students with speech and language deficits by providing opportunities to socialize, gain exposure and to improve carryover of communication skills in a realistic environment.

Social Club
The social club was founded to accommodate children that have autism spectrum disorders to improve the carryover of social skills in different settings. However, the social club is extended to ALL children. We partner with different entities to create non-structured therapeutic experiences outside of the therapy room. Our Social Club Meets are packed with various opportunities to practice appropriate communication in social situations.

We are in-network with select insurance plans at this time. We are considered out-of-network for all other providers. Please call us or check our site for updates in regard to new or pending insurance plans we accept. We accept private pay and offer a superbill to submit for out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company. Please contact us for more information about our rates or information about the SSES (Supplemental Special Education Services) grant.

Patrice Thomas M.S, CCC-SLP
Owner/Founder
Patrice Thomas M.S, CCC-SLP is the founder of Unique Speech Techniques, PLLC, a private practice located in Mansfield, TX. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Communication Disorders at Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. She is a board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 10 years of experience. Her career has taken her around the world. She has traveled extensively locally and abroad. Patrice has practiced in multiple states as a traveling SLP and is currently licensed by the board of Mississippi, Georgia, and Texas. Patrice has worked in a variety of settings including school districts, skilled nursing facilities, dementia care units, in-home health, and hospitals. Patrice has experience treating children and adults of various ages in the areas of language (expressive, receptive, semantic & pragmatic), articulation/phonological, fluency, voice, neurocognitive (attention, memory, problem-solving, reasoning), aural rehabilitation, aphasia, adult dysphagia, and augmentative-alternative communication systems (AAC).
